I have applied to 6 colleges in the US and so far have been accepted to the University of Maryland and University of Michigan. I want to study aerospace engineering, but I understand that students are not accepted on the basis of their major. I was also told that my 12th grade board exam marks are required, even if I have already been accepted into a particular college. My questions are: how important are board exam marks in determining whether I can pursue the major of my choice AND how high should my board exam marks be if I want to study aerospace engineering? |

Haven't you been admitted under your major? i got admitted to UIUC and they clearly state the department and the major i got admitted under. |

All students have to take a certain set of courses before declaring which engineering program I intend on studying. |
